The Korean National Commission for UNESCO is recruiting participants for the Youth Session of the UNESCO International Forum on the Futures of Education 2024, which will be held from December 2 to 4, with the Youth Session taking place on December 4. We encourage the active participation of youths who are interested in UNESCO activities and the futures of education.
● 24 Youths aged between 19 - 34 (as of December 4, 2024) of Korean or foreign nationals residing in Korea. ● Applicants must be able to communicate in Korean or English. ● Interest (and deep understanding) in UNESCO activities and the Futures of Education Report. ● Applicants must be willing to actively collaborate with other team members. ● Mandatory to attend regular meetings (including Orientation).
● Due date: ~July 21 (SUN), 2024, 11:59 P.M. ●
How to apply: Submit the application through the
Google Survey.
● Conduct team-based pre-forum activities exploring one of the various topics within the UNESCO Report from the International Commission on the Futures of Education from a youth perspective. ● Present findings at the Youth Session(December 4) at the UNESCO International Forum on the Futures of Education 2024(December 2-4) ●
Detailed topics include: social contract,
strengthening education as a common good, solidarity, lifelong learning, etc.
● Date: December 4 (Wed), 2024 10:00-11:00 a.m. (※ subject to change) ● Venue: Suwon Convention Center, Suwon ● Group: 4 groups of 6 people each (assigned by Korean National Commission UNESCO) ● Language: English, Korean, French interpretation provided ● Topic: Based on UNESCO Report from the International Commission on the Futures of Education (TBD) ● Pre-forum activity: From August 13 to December 3, 2024 (4 months) ○ Online meeting: Progress monitoring once in a 2 weeks (More than 80% of attendance is mandatory) ○ Offline meeting: Presentations & feedback from experts in October & November (mandatory) ● Benefits ○ Opportunity to present at the UNESCO international forum ○ Certificate issued upon completion of activity ○ Activity allowance for each team ○ Group meeting venue provided by Korean National Commission for UNESCO
